Introduction to Local Government
The Introduction to Local Government workshop provides an overview to local government and the important role it plays.
Developed by LGPro Vic for Tasmanian council officers, the program is designed for people who are new to local government or those who wish to improve their knowledge of Council governance.

The virtual program is an online 3-hour session that covers:
- Legal structure of local government.
- Roles and functions.
- Decision-making processes.
- Relationships & ethical behaviour in local government.
- Case studies that demonstrate common issues that officers may be required to navigate.
